A healthcare facility in Cave City, AR, is seeking per diem clinical pharmacists to provide essential inpatient support at a hospital setting. This role offers the opportunity to work flexible hours covering PTO and vacation shifts across 1st to 3rd shifts in a 24 / 7 pharmacy department, ensuring seamless medication management and clinical expertise.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and verify medication orders for inpatients and outpatients, including allergy checks, drug interactions, dosing accuracy, and therapeutic appropriateness.
- Enter and audit medication orders within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Prepare and pound medications, including sterile and hazardous products, ensuring pliance with sterile techniques.
- Oversee and verify medications prepared by pharmacy technicians before distribution.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services such as renal dosing, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and pharmacokinetic evaluations.
- Offer specialized consultative support in areas like NICU, oncology, cardiology, and surgery.
- Educate patients and healthcare professionals regarding drug information and therapy.
- Supervise technician workflow, ensure regulatory pliance, conduct medication storage inspections, and participate in quality assurance programs and controlled substance monitoring.
Qualifications and Desired Experience :
Active pharmacist license in Arkansas.Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred; hospital experience required.Strong clinical skills in medication review, preparation, and consultative pharmacy services.Ability to work independently with attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards.Location :
