Reporting directly to an assigned Supervising Engineer or Senior Engineer. Performs transportation, drainage, and land development engineering projects.
The Engineering Job Family Salary Range is : $101,151.57 - $224,326.82
- Performs planning, engineering analysis and design for transportation, drainage, and land development projects
- Prepares transportation engineering plans, specifications & estimates (PS&E)
- Analyzes and prepares floodplain and detention studies
- Prepares technical correspondence to professional consultants, other governmental entities, and the public
- Reviews Floodplain Development Permits, including interpreting flood studies and determining site-specific flood elevations
- Responds to drainage / floodplain complaints and coordinates with public to develop feasible solutions utilizing site visits, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and investigations
- Coordinates and prepares documents and updates for engineering meetings and public hearings
- Analyzes subdivision plats, construction plans and permits
- Performs pavement field evaluations
- Identifies potential floodplain violations and collaborates with inspections on resolution
- Attends all meetings and trainings, as required
- Performs special duties as assigned

P.E. (Professional Engineer) LicensureRequired within thirty (30) days of employment
Valid Texas driver's licenseRequired within six (6) months of employment
