Now hiring HVAC / R Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team! Maintain existing Commercial and Residential Heating / Air Conditioning systems, Ice Machines and Refrigeration equipment. Smithco is a great company to work for!

This is the place to build your career. We provide career expansion training on all types of HVAC, Ice Machine and Refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities :

  • Preventative maintenance of A / C systems (clean coils, clear drains and change filters) at assigned Commercial & Residential locations
  • Preventative maintenance of Refrigeration equipment like Reach-in or Walk-in coolers / freezers (clean coils, clear drains) at assigned Commercial locations. We will train you!
  • Perform Full Tear Down Cleanings on Commercial Ice Machines. We will train you!
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedure
  • Respond to emergency Service requests (as a backup to a Lead Tech) on the easiest On-Call schedule around the industry

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 1 year field HVAC experience working at a professional company
  • Refrigeration or ice machine experience is a big plus and adds to your compensation offer
  • Possess personal tools necessary for the trade including gauges, meters, leak detector and hand tools
  • Formal schooling from a State run Journeyman program Trade school
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Desire to expand your ability with comprehensive training
  • Clean driving record and background
