Nutrition Care Coordinator
Responsible for providing basic nutrition assessments and care planning for patients. Implements business practices in order to uphold hospital mission and values. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit contribution through the implementation of services. The employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.
Directs dietary care of patients with basic nutrition needs including screening, assessment, and care planning to ensure patient dietary needs and customer satisfaction levels are met. Educates medical staff and counsels patients and their families on proper nutritional care. Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, nutrition care, special diets, and menu requests. Stays current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice. Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
Education : Bachelors Degree
Licensure, Registration, Certification : Registration is eligible for the American Dietetic Association leading to Licensure by the State of Tennessee Board of Dietitian / Nutritionist Examiners.
