job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork in the Labor & Delivery unit of an acute care hospital Provides care for a culturally diverse, high-risk obstetric patient population Circulates during cesarean sections as part of core duties Night shifts, working 3x12 hours from 18 : 00 to 6 : 30 Every other weekend required No on-call responsibilities Epic charting system is used and prior Epic experience is required Floating required within hospital, like units, and nearby affiliated facilities RNs are responsible for circulating in cesarean sections and managing high-risk obstetric care Scrubs may be any solid color, with Royal Blue or Navy typically preferred Travelers must be willing to float to sister facilities as needed Must be available to work at least 2 out of the 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility Free parking is provided on the first day, with ongoing assignment parking information given during orientation Completion of required online modules is expected before starting and annually thereafter Requested time off must be included at the time of application for consideration Active CA RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 1 year recent Labor & Delivery RN experience Current certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP Prior Epic EMR experience required Must provide at least 2 supervisory references from the last 3 years in a comparable specialty / setting First-time travelers are accepted Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower pay rate High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
