Job Description
As a copy editor, your purpose is to support our customers’ success by ensuring our support content is clear, consistent, and effective. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts to improve the quality, tone, and usability of knowledge articles and Community content. Your work helps us deliver a seamless, trustworthy content experience that empowers customers to solve problems with our self-service resources.

Copyedit and optimize knowledge articles and Community content for grammar, clarity, readability, accessibility, and SEOMaintain consistency with internal style guides, brand guidelines, and accessibility best practicesCollaborate with content strategists, writers, technical support teams, and product expertsHelp refine and evolve our editorial style guide based on real-world usage and feedbackReview metadata, tagging, and categorization to support content findabilityContribute to quality review processes, editorial QA, and content improvement initiativesUse content analytics and user feedback to inform editorial decisions and continuously improve contentCopyedit customer-facing support articles for grammar, clarity, punctuation, and adherence to style guidelinesFlag unclear content or missing information and work with writers or SMEs to resolve issuesHelp maintain and follow editorial checklists and templatesParticipate in team reviews and content quality initiativesTrack editing tasks and turnaround times using content tools or dashboardsQualifications
5–7 years of professional copyediting experience, preferably with technical or support contentProficiency in AP, Chicago or Microsoft writing style guidesStrong understanding of plain language principles and UX writing best practicesFamiliarity with editing in a content management system (CMS)Experience applying editorial style guides and working with editorial checklistsAbility to give and receive feedback in a constructive, collaborative wayBasic understanding of accessibility, SEO, and inclusive language best practicesExcellent attention to detailBonus Points
