Head of Finance & Business Operations

HYROX – The World Series of Fitness Racing – is the global sport that combines running & functional fitness into one unique competition format. Founded in Germany in 2017, HYROX is now a worldwide fitness movement with events across 5 continents and tens of thousands of athletes taking part each season.

The HYROX North America team is looking for a Head of Finance & Business Operations , located in Chicago , to join our growing U.S. leadership team! As we scale across North America, this role will take ownership of all finance and operations processes in the U.S. – from cash flow management and budget planning to building scalable infrastructure for event delivery and team growth.

You will work directly with the General Manager North America and in close collaboration with our global CFO based in Hamburg, Germany, who oversees group-wide finance. Your role will be to build and run the operational engine that powers HYROX’s growth in the U.S.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full financial oversight of HYROX North America
• Manage external service providers (accounting, payroll, tax) and ensure timely, accurate reporting
• Oversee all financial deliverables & processes in collaboration with the global CFO and HQ finance team
• Develop and track key financial KPIs to monitor growth, cost efficiency, and ROI
• Lead operational process improvements across departments
• Ownership of vendor relationships (from contract to payment)
• Build and manage a small local finance & ops team as the organization grows
• Cross-functional collaboration with marketing, partnerships, event ops and gym affiliation teams
• Support strategic planning , business case development and market expansion initiatives
• Attend HYROX U.S. events when needed to ensure smooth operational execution and presence on-site
