Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist with ARRT R certification and at least 1 year of experience for a critical access hospital evening shift assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a critical access hospital with 25 staffed beds
  • X-Ray Tech position in the Radiology / Cardiology department
  • Evening shifts, 5x8 hours, from 3 : 00 PM to 11 : 30 PM
  • Clinicians may float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as required
  • Uses Cerner for charting and EMR documentation; position-specific Cerner experience may be required
  • May care for various patient populations typical of a critical access hospital setting
  • Any solid color scrubs may be worn
  • Primary responsibilities include performing X-Ray imaging procedures for inpatients and outpatients in a critical access environment
  • All travelers are expected to float as needed throughout the facility and to affiliate hospitals
  • Candidates must complete lab appointment, Docusigns, and badge photo within 1 week of signing the contract
  • Modules and virtual onboarding must be completed on the first day
  • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment
  • No radius restriction for local candidates
  • Parking is provided at no cost with a permit completed during orientation
  • Any permanent or PRN Memorial employees must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler

  • Minimum of 1 year X-Ray Tech experience required
  • Current ARRT R certification required
  • BLS certification preferred
  • Illinois state license required if applicable
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Must arrive 3 business days before start if a state license is not required for fingerprints
  • Application, resume, skills checklist, and 2 professional supervisor references from the last 2 years required
  • Must provide a full 7-year work history with explained gaps
  • Must be able to float within hospital and to nearby affiliated facilities as needed
