We are excited to announce an opening at Sweet Tooth Pediatric Dentistry for a dedicated Pediatric Dental Assistant. This is a part-time (4 days) position located at our clinic. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will be an integral member of our dental care team, working directly under the supervision of our pediatric dentist to ensure the delivery of effective dental treatments and exceptional patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the pediatric dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Set up and break down operatory post-treatment.
• Take, develop and mount dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Manage dental office infection control protocol and ensure that all treatment areas are sterilized.
• Interact positively with children and parents while providing information and educational resources on oral hygiene.
• Prep materials for dental impressions and restorations.
• Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies.
• Document dental care services by charting in patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide support with office administrative tasks when necessary.
• Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to stay informed of new dental products and techniques for pediatric care.
