Job Title : Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – 2nd Shift (Contractor)
Location : Correctional Facility – London, OH
Pay Rate : $26.00 – $27.00 per hour
Position Type : Temporary (1 Position Available)
Position Overview
We are seeking one (1) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in London, Ohio. This is a 2nd shift contract role with consistent hours and competitive pay. The LPN will provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN or licensed physician, following all applicable standards, policies, and regulations.
Schedule :
- Shift Hours : 1 : 30 PM – 9 : 30 PM (Monday–Friday)
- Weekend Rotation : Every third week requires weekend coverage. The schedule will include a day off prior to the weekend shift and a day off following it.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to :
Administering nursing care within the scope of practice as outlined in Ohio law.Administering medications (oral, rectal, topical, injectable) and providing patient instructions.Assisting physicians with exams, treatments, and laboratory tests.Responding to medical emergencies and performing first aid / CPR as needed.Monitoring, documenting, and reporting patient conditions, reactions, and progress.Maintaining accurate medication and treatment records.Assisting patients with daily living activities, hygiene, grooming, and mobility.Escorting and supervising patients during medical appointments and activities.Providing orientation and guidance to support staff.Maintaining inventory of medical supplies, ensuring cleanliness of the medication room and cart.Qualifications
Current Ohio LPN license in good standing.Knowledge of practical nursing procedures, pharmacology, patient care, and first aid.Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and make sound decisions.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and staff.Proficiency with basic medical equipment and electronic documentation.CPR certification required.Why Join Us?
