We are seeking a dynamic candidate to join our law firm as a Library Assistant. The Library Assistant retrieves document, tracks subscriptions, checks citations, and completes related duties as part of the Information Services team. This position is responsible for providing the highest level of service to attorneys and staff across all firm offices. This position reports to the Manager of Information Services.

Job Responsibilities :

• Locates and procures resources and documents from courts, libraries, publishers, government agencies, and other sources in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Performs basic research, including checking citations and Shepardizing cases, using appropriate platforms and resources such as Lexis and Westlaw.
• Processes library subscriptions and acquisitions.
• Coordinates training and user setup; participates in training and software product trials for products managed by Information Services.
• Monitors news, tracks cases, legislation, rulemaking, and other subjects as necessary to assist with current awareness / alerts.
• Tracks and records time spent on client billable matters and complies with the Firm's time entry policy.
• Manages additional research and duties as assigned.
