Security Officer
Summary Responsible for receiving and responding to security-related calls, dispatching security personnel, coordinating emergency responses, and maintaining accurate records of security incidents. Essential Functions Receive and respond to emergency calls, alarms, and requests for security assistance. Gather and assess critical information about the nature and location of incidents or emergencies. Prioritize and triage calls to determine appropriate response levels and allocate resources accordingly. Provide clear and concise instructions to security personnel and other emergency responders. Dispatch security personnel to respond to security incidents, emergencies, and service requests. Coordinate communication and facilitate collaboration between security personnel, medical staff, and external emergency services. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Experience in security operations or emergency dispatch, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting. 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels, including patients, visitors, and staff. - Proficiency in using computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems, telecommunication devices, and other security-related software. - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations. - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to assess and respond to emergencies. - Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to accurately document and maintain records. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
