Job Summary

The Flint River Regional Library System (FRRLS) is seeking a creative and professional librarian to work as part of a team with a strong commitment to providing quality customer service.

This employee will create community based programming, services, and products that support in-person and digital access for diverse populations. They will work collaboratively with staff in planning and implementing special projects for patron service and outreach. They will collaborate with staff members and librarians at member libraries. They will have a thorough knowledge of public library collections, services and programs. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with people from diverse backgrounds, including youth, families, volunteers, and co-workers. This person must understand and follow the mission and values of FRRLS. This person must have the ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers, community organizations and the public.

Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough knowledge of public library collections, services, and programs.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, including youth, families, volunteers, and co-workers.
• Understand and follow the mission and values of FRRLS; establish effective working relationships with co-workers, community organizations, and the public.

Qualifications

Salary

$50,518 – $55,000 (Salary is commensurate with qualifications.)
