DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This professional social service position is assigned to a Joinder Assessment Services Unit B or C, which is the entry point for child welfare services in Lycoming County. Primary responsibilities include the assessment of general requests / referrals for services and may include the assessment of reports of serious abuse and / or neglect. Extensive telephone, office and community contacts with consumers are required to develop recommendations for appropriate Joinder and / or community-based services. Activities include safety assurance, intake, placement, short-term assessment, information and referral, case management and disposition recommendations.

This position will work under the supervision of a Joinder Assessment Unit Supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position .
