What would you do as a Field INSTALLER / Welder

  • Utilize welding and fabricating skills vital for the installation of stairs, rails and miscellaneous metals
  • Organize tools and materials for the installation of stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals
  • Follow all safety procedures and expectations, including wearing proper PPE and site-specific safety plans
  • Ensure that work performed exceeds the high-quality standards of Hanover Iron Works, Inc.

What we're looking for in a Field INSTALLER / Welder

  • Experience in the misc. metals field for 2+ years preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, Tool-Box Shop Talks and safety procedures, Operator's Manuals and maintenance instructions
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Understanding of angles and degrees
  • Working knowledge of AWS D1.1. and the following processes, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and GTAW
  • Current welder certifications or ability to pass weld test
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
