Pharmacist Compensation
Pay Rate : $64.27 per hour
Shift Differential :
2nd Shift : +$2.50 / hour
3rd Shift : +$6.00 / hour
Overtime : 1.5x base rate (average of Shifts 1-3 ST)
Double Time : 2x base rate (average of Shifts 1-3 ST)
Pharmacist Highlights
Evening Shift : 1 : 00 PM – 9 : 30 PM, Monday – Friday, with potential for Saturday
Licensed by the Wisconsin State Pharmacy Board (RPh license required)
Full-time : 40 hours / week
Pharmacist Responsibilities
Accept and dispense prescription medications.
Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
Ensure the supply of medicines is within legal requirements.
Verify that prescribed medications are suitable for patients.
Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
Advise patients on medications, including usage, side effects, and interactions.
Provide consultation for prescription and non-prescription medications.
Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
Educate patients on proper use of medical devices (e.g., blood pressure monitors, glucose meters).
Compound medications for external or internal use and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures.
Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks.
Maintain appropriate pharmaceutical and medical inventory.
Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacy interns, and other staff as required.
Pharmacist Requirements
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
Licensed by the Wisconsin State Pharmacy Board (RPh license).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to supervise pharmacy staff and manage pharmacy operations effectively.
