Armed Security Officer - Access Control

As an Armed Security Officer - Access Control in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols. Your presence will help create a welcoming environment while supporting access control protocols. This armed position requires a strong commitment to customer service and communication, as you interact with employees and visitors. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 06 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Fri 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access within the financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report irregularities.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate and directed by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and / or irregularities observed during the shift.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and client representatives to address security-related concerns and provide a visible presence at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Must participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
