Responsibilities
- Apply broad and deep knowledge in structural engineering and marine infrastructure projects.
- Perform tasks in the field of structural analysis and design, including reinforced and pre-stressed concrete design, steel design and timber design; deep foundations; gravity-based foundations; earth retaining structures, etc.
- Implement design best practices and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Perform and review calculations for analysis purposes.
- Prepare construction documents and oversee construction administration activities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
- Conduct site inspections, prepare observation reports, and generate written documents within project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master of Science (MS) degree is an asset.4 to 10 years of prior project-based engineering experience, focusing on waterfront and coastal design, construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation.Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.Ability to effectively manage tasks and handle multiple responsibilities in a brisk environment.Proficient interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.Willingness to travel, especially for fieldwork in the New York City area.What we offer
