Overview
Rep, Mobile Examiner - (P / T) - ExamOne / Maryville, IL area. Under the direction of the Branch Manager or Field Leader, the Mobile Examiner provides field coverage to ensure mobile exams are completed accurately and on time. Maintains a safe and professional environment for applicants, clients and employees, performing all aspects of an insurance exam including specimen collection and processing in accordance with established practices and procedures. May act as coach, mentor, instructor and resource person for new employees who have completed the required phlebotomy training program.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all specimens are collected accurately and on time.
- Collects specimens according to established procedures.
- Conducts in-center and mobile exams, including taking basic vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection, and EKG. Also collects specimens for pre-employment drug screenings and other Quest Diagnostics services.
- Completes application packets and other paperwork accurately.
- Labels, centrifuges and splits specimens as required by test order.
- Uploads and completes cases in portal within 24 hrs on weekdays and within 48 hrs on weekends.
- Packages specimens for transport and ships to the indicated lab.
- Ensures safe and timely transporting of specimens, supplies, equipment and materials to destinations.
- Maintains records of each specimen collected daily and supports Record Deletion process when directed by Management.
- Submits original paperwork to destination and provides customer service to clients.
- Follows current Examiner's Manual and departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
- Maintains all appropriate phlebotomy logs and an error rate of no more than 3%.
- Confirms exams with clients the day before appointment and statuses the case at confirmation.
- Corrects non-applicant errors within a 24-hour timeframe.
- Submits accurate time, travel logs and expense forms as directed.
- Properly clocks in and out for work assignments and provides travel logs when applicable.
- Maintains grooming, dress code and lab coat policies; wears company ID badge at all times.
- Reports to work on time and communicates effectively with customers, agents, applicants, coworkers and the public.
- Remains polite and courteous at all times; communicates unresolved problems to the appropriate Manager or Supervisor.
- Performs other department-related clerical duties and assists with implementation of SOPs for examiner services.
- Acts as mentor and resource for new employees under guidance from Manager or Supervisor.
- Flexible travel (up to 25-mile radius) and flexible hours; maintains availability in Examview.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position; required use of company iPad or specified electronic device.
Qualifications
Required Work Experience :Minimum 100 documented successful blood draws.
Minimum one-year phlebotomy experience; experience with pediatric and geriatric patients is a plus.Preferred Work Experience : Urine or hair follicle collection and EKG experience.Physical And Mental Requirements :Sitting and standing for periods; driving to / from assignments.
Lifting up to 40 pounds; ability to multitask.Flexibility for weekends, holidays, overtime; may include on-call duties.Valid driver license and clean driving record with reliable transportation.Skills :Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; professional interaction with patients and staff.
Organizational skills; ability to manage concerns professionally.Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.Decision-making based on established procedures with supervisory guidance as needed.Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent.Licenses and Certifications : Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification.About The Team
