A law firm is seeking a Veterans Disability Attorney in New Orleans, LA. This position may be remote for the right candidate. The attorney will advocate for veterans in disability claims and appeals, ensuring they receive the benefits they deserve.
Duties
- Advocate for veterans in disability claims and appeals before the VA and BVA.
- Conduct comprehensive case analysis to develop effective strategies.
- Prepare and present legal documents, including briefs and motions.
- Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members for cohesive case management.
- Stay informed on laws and policies affecting veterans' benefits.
- Engage in outreach and educational initiatives for the veteran community.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with a State Bar.Minimum of one year of experience in veterans' disability law.Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to manage a substantial caseload with attention to detail.Dedication to advocating for veterans' rights and benefits.Education
