Telemetry RN Job Details – Alamogordo, NM Location : Alamogordo, NM 88310 (Southern New Mexico healthcare jobs) Facility Setting : Telemetry Unit (with potential floating to Medical / Surgical, Behavioral Health, Joint, and Emergency Department) Employment Type : Travel Nurse – Locum Tenens Start Date : October 27, 2025 End Date : January 24, 2026 Assignment Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule On-Call Requirement : 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1780 - $1910 Telemetry RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact state (NM nursing jobs) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required PALS and CPI certifications preferred Minimum 1 year of recent experience in telemetry, cardiac care, or related nursing specialty Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Ability to float to Medical / Surgical, Behavioral Health, Joint, and Emergency Department as needed Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Monitor and manage patients with medical, surgical, cardiac, and respiratory conditions Administer medications and treatments according to clinical protocols, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided in the electronic health record (EHR) Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans, discharge instructions, and available resources Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Delegate and assign tasks to licensed and unlicensed care providers as appropriate Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education and annual skills verification Participate in orientation, skills validation, and quality improvement initiatives as required Experience the welcoming community and outdoor recreation of Alamogordo while advancing your nursing career in a top New Mexico healthcare facility.
