Special Event Coordinator - Part Time
Location : 153 North 100 East, Lehi, UT 84043, United States
Pay Rate : $18.00 / hour
Schedule : Variable hours to accommodate special event needs. Up to 25 hours per week, with the exception of some summer events where more hours may be required.
Department : Office of the City Administrator
Job Summary
- Perform light office work
- Assist the Special Events Manager with day-to-day operations
- Assist in setup, operation and teardown of events
- Interact with event attendees in a friendly, engaging manner
- Assist in identifying sponsorships for events and programs
- Assist in creating new events
- Serves as vendor liaison and coordinator
- Works closely with parks maintenance to ensure cooperation for events
- Coordinates promotion of activities and recruitment of participants for volunteer efforts and department-wide ventures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Responsibilities and Qualifications
High school diploma and six (6) months experience in event planningStrong communications skills - both written and verbalExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentProficient in the use of Microsoft OfficeFamiliar with multiple social media platformsValid driver's license and reliable transportation - personal vehicle preferredWillingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekendsEmployment in this position is conditional upon passing a pre-employment background and drug test.
