Dual Licensed Operating Engineer - Hospital

Department : Operation of Plant

Status : Full-Time

Shift : Evening (Tues-Sat, 2 : 00pm - 10 : 00pm)

Compensation : $63 to $64 per hour

Position Summary :

Are you a skilled and licensed Operating Engineer with expertise in both boiler and air conditioning systems? A leading organization is seeking a dedicated professional to maintain the critical infrastructure that supports its mission. As a Dual Licensed Operating Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the plant, directly impacting the comfort and well-being of those served.

Key Responsibilities :

• Compliance and Safety : Install, maintain, inspect, test, and repair systems in strict adherence to regulations from the City of White Plains, State of New York, Westchester County, NYS and County Health Departments, NFPA, The Joint Commission, and other relevant authorities.
• Steam Generation Management : Oversee boilers and control the continuous supply of steam for heating, machinery, auxiliary equipment, and processes.
• Water Treatment : Perform daily boiler water tests and administer appropriate chemical treatments to maintain optimal levels.
• HVAC System Management : Monitor and control all boiler and HVAC equipment using the Building Management System, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
• Preventive Maintenance and Repair : Inspect, adjust, repair, and lubricate all related steam plant and air conditioning equipment, including DX and centrifugal units.
• Cooling Tower Maintenance : Operate and maintain cooling towers, including water treatment.
• Routine Maintenance : Change air filters, clean condensing coils, cooling coils, and fan coil units.
• Control System Maintenance : Replace or adjust pneumatic and electric controls, motors, and air compressors.
• Ventilation System Management : Maintain air dampers, fans, and ventilating systems.
• Documentation and Inspections : Perform all required inspections and rounds, maintaining detailed logs of HVAC and boiler unit checks.
• General Mechanical Maintenance : Perform other mechanical maintenance work, including machinery and equipment repair, within your skill set.
• Team Participation : Attend meetings as required and assist with snow removal efforts.
