Overview

Kingsley Pines is a children's summer camp on a beautiful lake in Raymond, Maine. We believe camp is a life changing experience, where campers learn things about themselves they didn't know when they arrived - Independence, Responsibility, Group living skills, New activity skills, Decision making skills.

As a member of our amazing staff, the PHOTOGRAPER has the honor of capturing these life changing moments on "film." We post a variety of photo journalistic style photos to our website once a week for camper families and friends to see what they have been up to at camp in the past week. These photos are also used in the multimedia slide show at the end of each of the three sessions and in marketing materials in the off season. The photographer lives at camp (housing provided) and works 6 out of 7 days a week for the summer camp season.

Responsibilities

Take headshots of campers on opening day
Create shooting schedule
Work with Multimedia Director and other staff to get the photos required
Shoot photos
Edit photos to meet camp criteria
Download photos and select photos for weekly publication on our website
Contribute to each session’s slide show presentation

Requirements

Capable of shooting a variety of photos that succinctly and clearly tell the story of what has been happening at camp, ability to shoot fast action a must

Ability to organize workload on a daily basis to be able to capture each camper and juggle this with weather, changes in schedule, etc.

Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Bridge

Knowledge of digital photography cameras and equipment

Enjoy being outdoors and shooting in a variety of outdoor conditions, some indoor photography does occur

Comfortable working with children and staff to manage group shoots, etc.
