We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our new Small Programs Initiative within the Program Finance department. This role is critical in establishing and leading a small team dedicated to streamlining processes and driving cost savings for small programs across the IMS1 entity. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 2-3 program finance professionals and provide support to programs across 10 sites. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by developing efficient financial processes and contributing to the overall financial health of our small programs.

Essential Functions :

  • Stand up and lead a new team focused on the Small Programs Initiative within Program Finance.
  • Develop and implement streamlined financial processes to drive cost savings and efficiencies for small programs.
  • Provide financial oversight and support to programs across 10 sites, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to identify areas for financial improvement and implement solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Utilize financial tools and systems, including Excel and SAP, to perform detailed financial analysis and reporting.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to improve financial processes and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Responsibilities will include weekly, monthly and quarterly program reporting and analysis, and provide financial guidance to the program management office.
  • Supports the maintenance of the financial forecasts : Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Latest Revised Estimates (LREs) using Delta Cobra Earn Value Management tool, work with the project team as needed to obtain inputs to meet deadlines.
  • Support the monthly close process, to ensure timely and accurate project reporting.
  • Other special projects as directed by management such as reconciliations, cleanup of migrated or closed projects, etc.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry
  • 2+ years of experience with Costpoint, SAP, or other ERP
  • 2-3 years of experience creating and maintaining pivot tables and v-lookup via Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with risk management, financial management, and work breakdown structures, change management, cost estimating, configuration management and system surveillance, operations, and procurement. Familiarity with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations, ANSI-748-D, EVMIG, and NDIA Intent Guides.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Preferred Additional Skills :

  • Experience with Cobra / SAP EVM tool
  • Knowledge of EVMS processes
  • Comfort with mastery of new tools and processes.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner.
  • Experience with contracts such as CPAF, CPFF, T&M, FFP, etc
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels / functions within the organization
  • Certifications such as PMP, EVMP or similar
