Our client, a childrens apparel manufacturer, is seeking a Colorist to join their New York City based team!

Responsibilities :

  • Facilitate the color approval process
  • Review color and provide color direction for lab dips, strike-offs, etc.
  • Track color approvals in PLM
  • Manage communication with mills
  • Request lab dips and strike-offs
  • Work with overseas mills and vendors throughout the development process and ensure delivery
  • Ensure records are maintained in PLM

Requirements :

  • Bachelors degree in textiles or related field
  • 2-4+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience dealing with color submissions for Walmart is a plus
  • Experience with overseas vendors / suppliers
  • Expert in Excel and Adobe skills
  • Knowledge of color theory & matching
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Proactive team player with strong initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
