Position Summary :

DermaBlue is seeking a board-certified dermatologist to serve as

Medical Director

and provide

clinical supervision and oversight

for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) delivering general and cosmetic dermatology care. The Medical Director will champion evidence-based practices, ensure quality standards, and foster a collaborative clinical environment that enhances patient care and supports professional development for APPs.

Key Responsibilities :

Clinical Supervision & Oversight

• Provide direct supervision of nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs), including case review, performance feedback, and clinical mentoring.
• Conduct monthly chart reviews in accordance with North Carolina Medical Board (NCMB) requirements for APP supervision.
• Be available for real-time consultation and guidance on complex cases via phone, telehealth, or in-person as needed.
• Approve treatment protocols and cosmetic procedures performed by APPs (e.g., Botox, fillers, laser treatments, acne protocols).
• Ensure all services provided by APPs align with current dermatologic standards of care and patient safety guidelines.
