Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Surgical Intensive Care Unit position requiring MA RN licensure, ICU and telemetry experience, and the ability to work 12-hour night shifts.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting
  • 24-bed high acuity unit specializing in General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Level one trauma center with a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Cares for a diverse range of acutely ill surgical patients requiring advanced therapies
  • Night shifts are 12 hours from 7 : 00 p.m. to 7 : 30 a.m.
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Epic EMR is used and experience is required
  • Pass / fail testing on telemetry / ECG and medications will be administered on day one
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, high-quality care in a level one trauma environment
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Scrub and dress code details will be provided upon assignment

  • Active MA RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Previous experience in ICU and telemetry required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency in medication administration and dysrhythmia recognition required
  • Must have been separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for at least 6 months to be considered
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates allowed)
  • COVID-19 vaccine and booster, plus seasonal flu vaccine required; medical exemptions allowed
