The Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist is an entry-level role designed for individuals eager to grow their skills in Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence. This role supports measurable improvements across the entire value streamfrom order receipt through planning, supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution. Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, the CI Specialist will gain hands-on experience applying Lean and problem-solving tools to improve quality, reduce waste, increase efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. This is a development role that provides exposure to real projects, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to small-scale improvements while building a strong foundation for a career in CI. This position is based at our Rochester, NY site location and is not hybrid or remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Lean tools such as 5S, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping under guidance from the CI team.
• Assist in identifying and documenting opportunities for process improvement in production, supply chain, or office workflows.
• Support cost-reduction and waste-elimination initiatives by gathering data, documenting processes, and tracking progress.
• Participate in kaizen events and workshops, supporting preparation, facilitation, and follow-up.
• Help create and maintain visual management tools (dashboards, Tier boards, metrics displays) to support problem-solving and communication.
• Collaborate with teams to stabilize new products and processes by documenting and sharing best practices.
• Contribute to lessons-learned sharing with other sites to strengthen the company's overall CI culture.
• Prepare clear and simple reports or presentations to communicate progress to leadership.

Working Environment & Conditions

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $60,000-$69,000 USD per year. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and hours worked.
