Remote Commercial Construction Estimator

We're working with a growing construction company looking to add a Remote Commercial Construction Estimator to their team. This is a fully remote role, ideal for someone who's experienced in commercial construction and enjoys working closely with preconstruction and project teams to deliver accurate, competitive estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to ensure accurate coverage.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit subcontractor / supplier pricing.
  • Identify scope gaps, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support bids, proposals, and budget development.
  • Maintain historical cost data and market pricing trends.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods.
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience with mixed-use, retail, or office projects is a plus.
