Position Summary

The Packaging Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing packaging machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and continuous production. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting production teams by minimizing equipment downtime. The technician works closely with operators and other maintenance staff to maintain a safe, clean, and functional work environment in accordance with company policies and industry regulations. Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a focus on safety and quality are essential for success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on packaging machinery and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues to minimize production downtime.
• Repair or replace worn or faulty machine components in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular inspections of packaging equipment to identify potential problems.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment is running efficiently and safely.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs for all performed tasks and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMP standards, and company policies.
• Assist in equipment installations, upgrades and modifications as needed.
• Maintain a claim and organized work area and ensure proper storage of tools and parts.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly to support continuous production flow.
• Comply with the use of all required personal protective equipment.
