About The Position

Job Title : Activity Therapist

Profession : Therapy

Specialty : Activity Therapy

Duration : 13 Months

Shift : Monday to Friday

Hours per Shift : 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM (Tuesday through Thursday may be 10 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM to accommodate programming; weekend hours may occur)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience strongly preferred

License : Board Certification and / or License in specific field required

Certifications : CPR and CPI required

Must-Have :

Must have a master’s degree in art, dance, or drama therapy.

Must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in music or recreational therapy.

A minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience is strongly preferred.

Description :

Shifts are Monday through Friday from 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM.

Tuesday through Thursday may require hours from 10 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM to accommodate programming needs.

Weekend hours may occur.

The unit focuses on expressive therapy.

The department utilizes a variety of equipment, including art materials, musical instruments, movement props, games, and sporting equipment.

Documentation is required following each therapy session.

The schedule requires 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.

Floating policy is not applicable.

Clinical supervision is provided by the department director.

Supplies and equipment needed to support work will be provided.

The team is looking for dedicated individuals to join as expressive or recreational therapists.

Advanced skills are not required.
