About The Position

We are seeking a qualified Neurological Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 24-week locum tenens assignment in New Mexico, starting on Nov 3, 2025. This role involves a 7on7off schedule, typically covering shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM, providing care to both adult and pediatric patients in a Trauma Center environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care to adult and pediatric patients within a high-acuity trauma setting.
  • Manage cases ranging from simple to complex neurological conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Utilize the Powerchart EMR system for documentation and coordination of care.
  • Adhere to all required certifications including Advanced Trauma Life Support and Basic Life Support.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate comprehensive patient care.

  • Required Board Certifications : Neurological Surgery; Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC)
  • Must hold a valid New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Experience with pediatric and adult patient populations is essential.
