Summary
The Greeter welcomes and assists visitors / clients / patients entering our ACCESS Centers. They are our first line of contact with them. The greeter assesses the needs of the visitor / client / patient and directions them to the appropriate area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Cordially greets visitors and customers upon arrival.
Explains to visitors / clients / patients the process associated with their visit and directs them accordingly.
Responsible for moving the flow of visitors as they come in.
Handles confidential information including patient information in an ethical and professional manner.
Contacts security, environmental services, or management for assistance when necessary.
Ensures that all HIPAA standards are in compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior customer service experience preferred.
Skills :
Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
Use decision making skills to determine where to direct visitors / clients / patients based on their needs.
Ability to work with individuals within and outside the organization, in professional and courteous manner.
Ability to work well and maintain relationships in a team environment.
Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Be proactive and adaptable in order to meet visitors / clients / patients ’ needs.
Strong verbal communications skills
