Licensed Registered Nurses have the opportunity to support local schools by providing essential health services on a substitute basis. • Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license\n
• CPR certification (required)\n
• Previous experience in a pediatric, school, or community health setting preferred\n
• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills\n
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations\n\nResponsibilities : \n
• Deliver direct nursing services including medication administration, first aid, and illness assessment\n
• Monitor student health conditions and communicate concerns to guardians and school staff\n
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with district policies\n
• Support public health protocols, including communicable disease prevention and reporting\n
• Assist with the development and implementation of individual healthcare plans when needed\n\nThis role offers a meaningful way to contribute to student well-being in a dynamic school setting. Hours are not guaranteed and shifts will be offered on an as-needed basis according to school needs.\n\nCompensation for this position ranges from $33.00 to $51.00.
