Description :

This dual-role position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of weekly payroll processing while supporting key HR administrative functions. You’ll be a central figure in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture through consistent employee support.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration (Paylocity & Viewpoint Vista)

  • Collect and verify employee time records for weekly payroll
  • Process and reconcile weekly payroll in Paylocity
  • Prepare Certified Payroll reports for applicable public projects
  • Administer 401(k) contributions and related reporting
  • Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain accurate payroll and employee compensation records
  • Manage federal and state tax deposits and filings (940, 941, W-2s)

Human Resources Administration

  • Maintain and update employee records, including onboarding and offboarding documentation
  • Assist with benefit enrollments, open enrollment periods, and changes
  • Support employee relations tasks by facilitating clear communication across departments
  • Assist in enforcing HR policies and compliance with labor laws
  • Support the recruitment process by coordinating interviews and pre-employment screenings
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee information and personnel files
  • Assist with documentation for performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
  • Requirements :

    Education & Experience

  • 3–5 years of payroll and HR experience; construction industry a plus
  • Experience with Paylocity and Viewpoint Vista strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with benefits administration, labor compliance, and onboarding / offboarding processes
  • Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving abilities
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must and Office Suite
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
  • Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments
