Description

The Embedded Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in launching advanced telematics and assisted systems like RTLS, camera-based systems, AI enhanced services into dynamic forklift environments to enhance operator safety and efficiency. Responsible for the successful engineering of new products and advanced systems with a focus on original embedded software code. Hands-on role responsible for the telematics, IoT, ADAS systems software development, integration and evaluation to complement forklift design requirements. Projects typically include vehicle control systems, IoT connectivity, and autonomous controls integration. Non-software related responsibilities may include CAN network design and aid in the basic development of electrical subsystems.

What You Will Do

• Develop software for advanced operator assist functions, ADAS features, Telematics IoT in collaboration with truck design teams in-line with project plan.
• Development and maintenance of CAN communication interfaces between various controllers, TCUs, batteries and other advanced systems.
• Develop solutions to share code cross-functionally for additional embedded systems products.
• Create test plans for software validation. Analyze results and create documentation and recommendations based on results.
• Work with sensors and other hardware to implement computer vision and automated solutions.
• Integrate perception software components and deep learning systems to create prototype systems for automation and driver assist projects.

What We Offer

The salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $145,000 annually. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and / or experience.
