Derby Dinner Playhouse is a fast-paced, high-energy dinner theatre offering guests a unique experience that combines great food with outstanding live entertainment. We pride ourselves on exceptional service, teamwork, and creating memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

Our servers are responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and professional service to guests during dining and show service. This position requires strong multitasking skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of serving experience
  • Theatre or banquet experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be 21+
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Team player with a positive and professional attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and serve guests promptly and courteously before and during performances.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
  • Deliver food and drinks promptly
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service throughout the evening.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned sections, trays, and service stations.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with bussers, hosts, and management to ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist with setup, pre-bussing, and breakdown of the theatre dining area.
