Job Description

Summary :

Lone Star Chevrolet is seeking an experienced  Diesel Technician  to join our service team.

We are looking for a professional with a strong background in heavy engine repair and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair GM diesel engines, fuel systems, and emissions components.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on transmissions, drivetrains, and differentials.
  • Work on electrical and electronic systems, including sensors, modules, and wiring.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests using GM-specific tools and software.
  • Perform brake, suspension, and steering system repairs as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and warranty procedures.
  • Complete detailed repair orders, documenting work performed and parts used.
  • Assist with recalls, bulletins, and software updates for GM diesel vehicles.
  • Qualifications

  • Must be GM Diesel Certified
  • 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician, with a strong understanding of diesel engines.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of diesel experience
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications
  • Additional Information

    Compensation (Hourly : Flat-Rate)

  • $32.00 - $40.00 / hour
  • Depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications

  • Tenure Bonus Program
  • Starting at 6 months, earn up to $3.50 / hour on every flat-rate hour turned

  • Bonus increases with tenure and is paid annually

  • FULL-TIME
  • Sundays Always Off
  • Saturday Availability Required
