Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Sr. Principal Mechanical Computer Aided Design (MCAD) Modeler and Librarian to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be based out of Roy, Utah . Alternate locations to include Huntsville, Alabama, or Colorado Springs, Colorado
What You’ll Get To Do
Candidate will be responsible to develop and maintain libraries of component parts within common engineering design CAD tools. Candidate’s primary focus will be mechanical parts within Siemens NX and Teamcenter. Candidate will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, components, manufacturing, procurement and other engineering disciplines to support the design of weapon systems and equipment under an overarching Systems Engineering and full lifecycle management framework. Candidate will demonstrate ability to develop part models for Mechanical CAD parts within NX and Teamcenter and maintain libraries. Candidate will conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with hardware designers and / or product line engineers in design, development, and utilization of software to create a representation of components for the CAD tools component library. Candidate must be detail-oriented and have a background in CAD usage and utilizing part datasheets / specifications / drawings for engineering applications. Candidate may create and review library components, symbols, and cells in accordance with established NGC and industry guidelines meeting high levels of accuracy. The candidate will work alongside other members of a team of modelers and librarians to develop MCAD / ECAD processes and documentation.

This position\'s standard work schedule is a 9 / 80. The 9 / 80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Primary Level Salary Range : $86,600.00 - $130,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range : $107,800.00 - $161,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\'s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
