Installation Supervisor

As an Installation Supervisor, you will oversee the installation of large-scale automation systems in automotive manufacturing facilities. You will serve as the on-site representative, managing the installation of equipment designed to handle complex manufacturing processes, including engines and transmissions. With a team of 30-60 individuals from both customer and internal teams, you will manage timelines and address real-time issues during the installation process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project milestones and timelines, escalating scheduling concerns as needed.
• Document delays caused by external factors and report them to the project manager.
• Submit detailed reports to customers for paid support, clearly separating warranty and billable hours.
• Assist with vendor tooling approvals and participate in project runoffs when possible.
• Coordinate with external installation crews to ensure a productive and professional working relationship.
• Review and file weekly support reports with job numbers and detailed work descriptions; summarize and share with project leadership.
• Submit daily activity summaries within 24 hours.
• Help maintain and update the Open Issues List; communicate customer-raised concerns to the project manager.

Work Environment

This role involves working primarily at customer facilities, with travel accounting for 70-80% of the time. These facilities include manufacturing plants where heavy equipment is installed, tested, and run, and entail significant interaction with customers. The remaining 30% of the time will be spent at the main office, collaborating with internal teams and tracking projects. The position offers a great company culture, a bonus program, low turnover, and an extra PTO day when weekend work is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of New Hudson, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 / yr. 401k plan with profit sharing. 20% bonus on average per year depending on overall company performance. Extra day of PTO added for any time this person is required to work a weekend day. 2 weeks of vacation to start. Great health care and overall medical benefits as well.

This is a fully onsite position in New Hudson, MI.
