Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) Mobile Crisis & Community Stabilization Services Location : Richmond, VA
Schedule : Evening Shift and Weekend Shift available
Compensation : Paid while sitting on-site and during active crisis response
Behavioral Health Services of Virginia (BHSVA) is hiring dedicated and mission-driven Qualified Mental Health Professionals to join our Mobile Crisis and Community Stabilization team. This is a field-based role providing urgent behavioral health support to individuals in crisis, referred through 988, hospitals, law enforcement, or the community.
Requirements : Position Details :
- You will report to our Richmond office at the beginning and end of each shift.
- You are paid while on-site waiting for a dispatch and throughout the active response.
- Company vehicles are provided for Mobile Crisis responses only.
Key Responsibilities :
Respond to crisis calls with a paired clinician or nurse once dispatched.Provide face-to-face crisis intervention, risk assessments, and support in the community.Deliver Community Stabilization services as follow-up or step-down from crisis care.Help clients manage mental health symptoms, reduce risks, and achieve short-term goals.Maintain clear, timely documentation for all services provided.Coordinate with supervisors, medical staff, and referral sources to ensure safe transitions.Attend required weekly clinical supervision meetings.Available Shifts : Monday- Friday

Qualifications :
Must be registered as a QMHP-Trainee or QMHP with the Virginia Board of Counseling.Must have your Mobile Crisis Training CertificationExperience with crisis response, case management, or community-based mental health is preferred.Able to work independently and in high-stress environments.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if not using agency vehicle).What We Offer :
