Guaranteed Hours - 36 hours per week

Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 4, 1 : 3 for post surgical patients in the first 24 hours

Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Patients who require intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients. Unit heavily supports the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart. Cath Lab, CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR and any other cardiac and vascular related

Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes

Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem, and multiple other medications for blood pressure management

Charting System : EPIC
