Journeyman Welder Trainee

• This is a 2-year training program paid at the Heliarc Welder rate. Employees will be progressed in an amount 1 / 24th of the difference between their starting rate and the Journeyman Welder rate every month until they reach the rate of Journeyman Welder.

Job Summary :

The Journeyman Welder shall be knowledgeable of all aspects of welding. Journeyman Welders perform the most difficult welds required specifically in titanium, welds requiring x-ray inspection, and other critical welds. It is our intent that any welder classified as Journeyman be capable of performing such welds, including certifying in stainless steel, inconel as required by government, customer and company specifications. The welder will be responsible for assisting, advising, and sharing job knowledge with other welders.
