Technical Program Director

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Director to lead the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of our technology initiatives. This role will own the roadmap for technology programs that power influencer activations, campaign management, data insights, and internal toolswhile ensuring smooth collaboration with offshore engineering and IT partners.

As a senior leader, you will align business goals with technical delivery, manage multiple vendor teams across time zones, and drive operational excellence. You will also be responsible for building scalable processes and ensuring that technology becomes a key differentiator in how we serve our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic LeadershipDefine and maintain the agencys technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives.

Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities where technology can improve client outcomes, operational efficiency, or data insights.

Translate business needs into technical requirements, ensuring clarity for both internal and external teams.

Program Oversight

Lead cross-functional technology programs from concept through execution, ensuring scope, budget, and timelines are met.

Oversee a portfolio of initiatives, including platform integrations, internal workflow tools, data pipelines, and client-facing technology.

Anticipate and resolve risks or blockers that may impact delivery.

Vendor Management

Build strong partnerships with offshore tech vendors, serving as the primary executive liaison.

Negotiate contracts, define SLAs, and monitor vendor performance across quality, cost, and timeliness.

Ensure seamless coordination between US-based teams and offshore development resources.

Operational Excellence

Establish and maintain program management frameworks (Agile / Scrum, hybrid models) to improve delivery predictability.

Oversee QA and UAT processes, ensuring all tools and integrations meet business requirements.

Create documentation, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to give leadership visibility into progress and ROI.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Mentor and support program managers, coordinators, and other technical staff.

Foster collaboration across departments (account, creative, strategy, operations) to ensure alignment on deliverables.

Champion a culture of accountability, clear communication, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

8+ years of experience in technical program or project management, including at least 3 years in a director-level or senior leadership role.

Proven experience managing offshore vendors and distributed teams.

Strong background in program governance, portfolio management, and cross-functional leadership.

Expertise with program management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com ) and reporting dashboards.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Track record of delivering complex technical programs in fast-paced, client-service environments (agency or marketing tech preferred).

Bonus Skills

Familiarity with influencer marketing ecosystems, social media APIs, and data analytics platforms.

Experience leading technology modernization, such as cloud migration or AI / automation tools.

Prior background in a digital agency or marketing services company.

Monday through Friday 3-4 hours daily

Total 15-20 hours a week

$72 - $85 an hour

Compensation details : 72-85 Yearly Salary
