The ProcessingSupervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of employees engaged in the receipt, storage, process, and package of nickel alloy metal products at Corrosion Materials (CMI).
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure operational tasks, objectives, and goals are achieved.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance, development, and training of processing staff.
- Study production schedules and estimate work requirements for completion of job assignments.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders for processing staff and assign duties accordingly.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machines and equipment.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, and suggest changes in working conditions and equipment to increase efficiency of processing department.
- Maintain accountability of inventory processed through reports and cycle counts.
- Use labor time reports to improve efficiency of processing staff and decrease idletime.
- Monitor order processing to maximize material yield and minimize scrap.
- Develop ideas for continued upgrading of manufacturing procedures and equipment.
- Maintain accountability of tooling and supplies used in the processing department.
- Lead, coach, and train processing staff in quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives to meet and exceed CMI metrics.
- Fill in where needed within the processing department to ensure timely shipments of orders.
- Adhere to all CMI safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Adhere to all CMI handbook policies and procedures.
