American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and a WV or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Birthing Center of an acute care hospital settingLabor and delivery environment with high-risk and antepartum patient populationUnit includes 13 L&D beds, 8 triage beds, and 17 postpartum bedsAverage of 7 births per dayDay shifts : three 12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00am-7 : 30pm) with an additional 24 hours of call within a 4-week periodWeekend and holiday work as scheduled per unit policyPatient ratios : 1 : 1 active labor, 1 : 3 triage, 1 : 6 postpartum / mom-babyEPIC used for documentation; experience requiredGE Corometrics and Phillips equipment used for fetal and telemetry monitoringFloating to other units may be requiredCharge RN, house supervisor, nurse aides, and OB tech scheduled for every shiftHigh-risk labor and antepartum patients are common in this unitCeil blue, hospital-issued scrubs are requiredOB / Neonatologist, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy available 24 / 7IV team support availableHoliday coverage is assigned per unit rotationFloor-specific orientation providedFirst time travelers will be consideredOnly one application allowed within the WVU system at a time\n \n Requirements\n
Active WV or compact RN licenseMinimum of 2 years of recent L&D nursing experienceCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (Advanced Fetal Monitoring acceptable)Experience with EPIC charting systemIV placement skills requiredNo C-section experience requiredDrivers license address must be outside a 50-mile radius from the facilityPrevious permanent employees or travelers must have a 2-year break before returning for consideration\n Benefits\n
