Salary : $20 / Hour

JOB SUMMARY : The Structural Engineering Intern will work with engineering and design staff to design buildings and structures constructed of concrete, structural steel, and masonry.

JOB DUTIES :

  • Work with Engineers and Design staff on specific project
  • Participate in project strategy meetings within discipline and gain exposure to design concepts, pricing, and proposal techniques / requirements.
  • Participate in design research and other activities as
  • Engage with other interns across the enterprise as part of the overall Summer Internship
  • Comply with Companys Quality Control and Project Management
  • Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organizations
  • Perform other duties as

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other office
  • Must be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex.

    • KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

  • Pursuing Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar is
  • Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD is
  • Familiarity with FEA structural software is
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings is
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business
