Our client, a leading national litigation firm, is seeking an accomplished Brief Writer to join their growing legal team. The firm is recognized for its excellence in complex, high-stakes litigation and its commitment to delivering superior written advocacy.
This is a fully remote position ideal for a highly analytical attorney with exceptional research and writing skills. The role focuses exclusively on drafting and refining persuasive legal briefs—not on trial work—making it a great opportunity for someone who excels in written argumentation and precision.
Responsibilities
- Research, draft, and edit high-level legal briefs, motions, and memoranda.
- Produce persuasive, well-reasoned written work that supports significant litigation matters.
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy across all submissions.
- Serve as a central writing and editing resource across multiple practice areas.
- Manage workload efficiently with support from paralegal and administrative staff.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and written advocacy.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a Top 15 law school ; top 5 in class strongly preferred .Licensed attorney with bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction .Proven background at a major law firm , ideally within an Am Law 100 environment.Exceptional legal writing and research skills with a demonstrated ability to produce persuasive, high-quality briefs.Prior experience drafting major issue briefs or other high-stakes legal writing.Strong analytical reasoning, attention to detail, and editorial precision.Please submit your resume to apply!
