Job Description (W2 Direct Hire) We're seeking a self-motivated FPGA Development Engineer to join our embedded development group in Novi, Michigan. This is a full-time, direct-hire hybrid position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. What You’ll Do As part of our embedded development team, you’ll contribute to the analysis, design, and development of next-generation embedded products. Your work will involve both new product development and enhancements to existing systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain FPGA-based embedded systems Define system architecture and FPGA components based on requirements Develop and execute unit and system test procedures Debug, analyze, and enhance existing systems Create and maintain detailed documentation Qualifications We’re looking for candidates with strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills. Required Skills / Experience : Proficiency in VHDL for embedded product development Hands-on experience with logic analyzers and oscilloscopes System on a Chip (SoC) design experience Electrical schematic design knowledge Strong debugging skills for existing systems Solid understanding of object-oriented methodologies and general programming Familiarity with software development lifecycles and design patterns Bonus Skills (Preferred) : Experience with Xilinx chips Familiarity with C++ and source control systems Knowledge of interfaces such as CAN, JTAG, I2C, USB, and Ethernet Experience with SAE, ISO, and ASAM standards Knowledge of data acquisition and automotive engine control systems Non-Technical Skills : Strong communication and organizational abilities Positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic Detail-oriented and methodical coding mindset Ability to work independently and follow structured processes Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Work Environment Hybrid role : Combination of on-site work in Novi, MI and remote flexibility Compensation & Benefits Salary : $125,000+ annually Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid time off and holidays Professional growth and development opportunities
